About this cause

Learning Partnerships are a Leeds based charity with 25 years’ of experience working across the diverse inner-city communities to reduce inequality, exclusion and disadvantage. During this time, we have provided opportunities and support for children, young people and adults to access education, employment, training and volunteering through a range of programmes and training courses designed with the aim to engage, inspire and achieve. We have a track record of delivering highly successful programmes which improve the life chances of those at the margins of society by increasing their confidence, self-esteem, aspirations, well-being and employability skills thus, ability to access paid work and integrate into their communities.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Partnership work with schools fosters community cohesion & intergenerational learning. Children improve literacy skills making positive impact on their future prospects. Increased no. of literate families living within a working household, owning a house & participating in community activities. Reduced levels of poor adult literacy/individuals locked in the cycle of disadvantage.
