The Young People's Centre (YPC) provides holistic support for vulnerable young people aged 11-25 offering access to a range of services for health and wellbeing. Services include counselling, life coaching, a drop-in (safe space), youth work, activities sessions, sexual health services, one-to-one support, a cafe providing affordable food (30p a meal) and a range of information, advice & guidance. We support young people with a range of issues including mental health difficulties (e.g. depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts and anxiety), homelessness, substance misuse, getting into employment, education or training, issues with family and friends, bullying and social media. The YPC is also an important city centre venue for the delivery of services by other providers for young people.
This will be an important offer that supports young people to live healthy & fulfilling lives (and offers a positive choice that supports family harmony): supports them with caring responsibilities, to integrate with others from different cultures and provides informal education so that they can be engaged citizens. It will offer volunteering opportunities for those who wish to give something back
