About this cause

We provide essential services for children & young people (CYP) with disabilities/learning difficulties (LD) and their families in Waltham Forest. Often we are the only accessible local service that caters to their profound needs. Inclusion, empowerment and fun are our core values. By encouraging both disabled and non-disabled CYP to participate in activities, users of all abilities are able to learn and play together, making friends with people they otherwise might never have had the opportunity to meet. We also provide activities that will help CYP to become more confident in themselves and their abilities, and learn new skills as they move into adulthood. Crucially, we provide a safe and welcoming environment in which CYP have the chance to take control and do what they want to do.

How this cause brings people in the community together

By bringing the school, the students & volunteers together with locals from our community. We have extended our reach to isolated elders and together with disabled children and young people we can address the isolation faced by vulnerable groups. The space currently littered and unloved will ultimately become a destination for art, horticulture and a cup of tea, freshly baked goods & a chat.
