About this cause
The Association runs Penge East Community Centre. It is used by various groups - including children's karate, ladies kickboxing, tai chi, elderly people's drop in, mixed martial arts, yoga, a meeting space for local groups, a venue for local families to hold parties and get together's - for ages from 1 to 90. There are community barbecues, quizzes and children's and adult's fun days. The grounds are particularly popular with families who live in flats or have very small gardens. Our objectives are to provide a place where the people of Penge East can meet and socialise regardless of race, creed, colour, gender or sexuality and can hire the space at very low affordable rates for private events.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will mean that the Community Centre will continue to serve the people of Penge for many years to come.
