We hope to fund additional resources for the Art and Technology Faculty, the Duke of Edinburgh Award and the Gardening Club in school.
About this cause
Raises funds via various activities and events for the benefit of pupils at Tottington High School. These activities include car boot sales, sponsored swims and walks and Christmas and Summer Fairs. Money raised in the past has been used for a school mini bus, subsidising school trips and acquiring other resources and facilities for the school. Our objectives for the upcoming year include funding additional resources and equipment for the Art and Technology Faculty which is currently underfunded. We also hope to fund the expansion of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme so more pupils are able to access the scheme and allowing students to progress to the silver award which previously has not been an option for them in school. We also aspire to fund resources for the Gardening Club.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The school serves the local community. The project will ensure that students have a better opportunity to progress with much improved equipment and resources which means they are more likely to fulfil their potential. The projects identified would ensure students have access to more opportunities than they otherwise may have had (or had the financial means to do so).
