We need to renew our ageing camping equipment to provide even more local young people with life changing adventurous experiences.
About this cause
1st Chilwell and Attenborough Scout Group provides adventurous activities for 6-14 year olds in Chilwell, Attenborough, Beeston and Toton. In recent years our membership has flourished and has now grown to over 60 young people, and we are still growing. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.
How this cause brings people in the community together
1st C&A Scouts have a long tradition in working with the community. We support the community by running activities for local Young People, and allow them to engage with other community groups. We run a number of community activities including our annual Carol Concert for our local elderly neighbours. We also support local school fairs, as well as running our own Christmas Fair.
