Viper Explorer Scout Unit (Fordingbridge)

We are a recently established Explorer Scout Unit and would like to purchase camping equipment to allow more young people to enjoy scouting.
About this cause
We are a recently formed Explorer Scout Unit that offers Scouting activities for 14-18 year olds in the Fordingbridge area. As well as providing Scouting, the Explorer Scouts also take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. The Group regularly takes part in activities within the local community and has recently attended an international Scout Jamboree in Denmark, where 40,000 Scout from 48 countries from around the world gathered together for an eight day camp, promoting friendship and understanding between nations and encouraging the young people to take part in adventurous activities. Viper Explorer Scout Unit is keen to offer these opportunities and experiences as widely as possible and would like to encourage even more teenagers within this age range to join them.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Explorer Scout Unit is keen to engage with the local community at all levels. We want to involve as many young people as possible in the activities that we provide. By doing this we aim to develop young people into becoming responsible citizens who value and care for their local community.
