About this cause
Organising events at Fawcett Primary School and Trumpington Meadows Primary School (the schools jointly form the Trumpington Federation). Our aims are twofold - holding events aimed at fund raising to enable us to enhance the educational experience of our children, such as our Summer Fete, plus events aimed at creating a strong sense of community within the school and the wider community. There have been a lot of new houses built in the area and with that a lot of new families - we have held several events with a predominant aim of fostering strong relationships amongst parents such as a putting on a free magic show for the kids whilst simultaneously running a "cafe" for the parents to meet and chat.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Most families joining our school come from the immediate area. By improving their opportunities, at a young age, we aim to improve and enhance their lifelong educational experience. Community cohesion and development is high on the agenda at our school and we hope to skill pupils up to make a positive contribution to their community.
