About this cause
Neurocare is a small, community-based charity primarily serving the people of Sheffield and nearby areas. It aims to improve the lives of local patients with a range of debilitating or potentially fatal neurological conditions. It champions the preservation and protection of health by supporting Sheffield’s Teaching Hospitals’ Neurosciences and Neurology departments funding life-saving equipment and ground-breaking research. We also provide financial assistance to enable medical, nursing and other staff involved in patient care to observe and learn pioneering new techniques and research. All monies raised benefits Sheffield’s Hospitals - dedicated to improving the health of patients in our community with long-term and life-limiting neurological conditions.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Thousands of people in Sheffield are treated each year for neurological conditions and head injuries. Many of these neurological conditions are life threatening or stay with a patient for the entirety of their lives. Therefore they have a huge impact on patients’ and their families lives so it's of paramount importance that the wards are supported fully. Your funding will help us do this.
