About this cause
The St John Ambulance – East Ham Young People Services, provide first aid in their community, keeping people safe at events, and campaigning to raise awareness of first aid and directly educate the public. First aid is such a simple skill, but it has an incredible impact. St John Ambulance want everyone to learn it, so that they can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved. Donors, sponsors, pavement pounders – every penny we raise helps save lives.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We believe that everyone should get the chance to learn how to save a life. Through support from organisations such as The Coop we hold public first-aid demonstrations and easy-to-access training sessions every year. By doing this, we can give people access to important skills that they wouldn't otherwise get the chance to learn.
