CVS North West Kent
Social Inclusion
We need laptops and to pay rent for our SAfE project which enables, empowers and enriches lives.
About this cause
SAfE is an independent funds held project of CVSNWK. SAfE offers free drop-in outreach advice to all members of the local community. We aim to resolve issues around benefits, debt, housing and employment, inter alia. Our advisers are experienced and fully trained in all aspects of advice work. We specialise in assisting clients to complete complex benefit forms - a service not generally available locally. We are also FCA authorised to deliver comprehensive debt advice, working with clients until the successful resolution of their issues. We also enable clients to access online services. We offer a weekly drop-in at the Healthy Living Centre on Temple Hill; increasing demand requires expansion. Please look at our website www.safeadvice.org.uk for further information
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our service is a whole community resource. Clients appreciate the cost effectiveness of our outreach service as public transport is expensive. Our free services are impartial, confidential and open to all. Our USP is that we offer clients time and space in which to explore and resolve their issues. Our appointments are not time restricted; complex forms can take up to 4 hours to complete.
