About this cause
Monkton Under Fives is a small playgroup situated in Monkton village which has been established for over 40 years. The playgroup provides early years education for up to 12 children aged 2 to 5. At Monkton Under Fives our first aim is to settle each child into the happy and relaxed environment we have created. We have a highly effective key person system which provides children with a sense of security and belonging. Our small numbers and excellent staff ratios means that planning is specific to individual children and can be adapted accordingly. In our latest inspection in March 2015 we were awarded an Outstanding in all areas - something we are very proud of as it reflects the dedication of our staff and the excellent relationships we have built up with both parents and the community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Monkton Under Fives provides outstanding education to children aged 2 to 5. The children who attend do so from the local community. The playgroup takes part in a number of local community events such as Open Gardens, Harvest as well as in fundraising to raise money for other worthy causes. Supporting our charity will enhance the children's education and in turn will directly benefit the community.
