We need to build some secure storage cupboards for our instruments.
About this cause
We are a friendly and welcoming brass band located in the picturesque village of Pangbourne, about five miles from Reading and next to the River Thames. The Pangbourne Band plays at a number of events through the year including fetes, bandstand and evening concerts and the occasional contest. We are a community band and welcome players of all ages without audition. Our All Comers band extends our out reach to beginners of all ages and all wind instruments, not just traditional brass ones. We are able to loan instruments to our members so there is no need to own an expensive instrument to join in. Many of the events we take part in are fund raisers for our local community and we enjoy enhancing the experience with our music.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will mean we can continue to loan instruments to musicians that might otherwise not be able to afford to play. It will make the current storage area in the Hall tidy and safe for the other uses of the space.
