16th North East Manchester (Hope Methodist) Brownies
Young People
We want to take the brownies on pack holiday to the beach or a countryside destination.
About this cause
With Girlguiding girls have the best experiences. Girls take what they do in guiding with them as they grow up. They develop the skills and confidence that they need to reach their potential - as students, colleagues, parents, friends and citizens - and become the young women that they want to be. Girls in Brownies have incredible experiences together, make brilliant friends and discover the world around them. Every time they meet up, groups of Brownies learn new skills and take on challenges as they work out what they want to be and do in the future. Brownies is about getting together regularly - often each week - to work on badges, play games and see friends. It's about trying adventurous activities and going along to special events, day trips, sleepovers, camps and holidays.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We are currently helping to fundraise for our meeting place Hope Methodist to build a new section for the community room which both the scouts and brownie groups use. The hut that some of the uniformed organisations uses has fallen in to disrepair so we would like to help take the Brownies away and any funds remaining from the community grant go to this as well.
