About this cause

Raise money for specialist equipment for Bishopswood Special Needs School to provide specialist chair walkers, play equipment, ipads and community trips for children aged 3 to 16 with profound learning and/or physical disabilities. The BSA charity raises money to pay for a special needs minibus lease and the running of the minibus so the children can access Riding For The Disabled, Swimming and other important activities they might not be able to participate in without the charity. We are working hard to raise money to improve playground equipment, build a sensory garden, provide shaded areas and run an annual community event with local neighbors joining our children to have a fun family day that is all inclusive to promote awareness of children with disabilities in the community.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Our annual family fun day encourages the local community to enjoy a spectacular day out with disabled children and adults bringing together the local community and promoting awareness and acceptance of all disabilities. The money raised from our all inclusive event will help purchase specialist outside equipment and finance a mini bus lease to improve the lives of our disabled children.
