We want to buy uniforms for all of our members, new instruments and an away day at Junior Camp.
About this cause
Our organisation runs a club for youths age 7 onward. We started the CLCG Brigade in January 2017 running weekly sessions either at the church or local secondary school. We have various activities including sports and arts and crafts. We aim to have a parade service once a month. We have recently taken part at local Brigade camp where our members took part in rope climbing and other activities they wouldn't normally get to try. We are based in Wingate and since start up, we have developed a strong group which come every week. We have taken part in a church yard litter pick, a litter pick at the beach and worked with the local police in a 'speed watch' campaign. We aim to grow our members, buy instruments and uniform and work in our community building relationships.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The church is becoming a bigger part of the community and as members of the church are working in schools, children are becoming more familiar with faces and are encouraged to take part and be part of Brigade. We work a lot in the community and have various projects lined up which will help young leaders and juniors develop a social responsibility for the community they live in.
