To create a positive environment for young people with special needs to access football in Drumchapel.
About this cause
The advancement of public participation in sport. The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities are primarily intended. To develop boys/girls/youth and adult football in our local area creating a positive pathway from pre 5s to adult. The club will strive to help develop and improve on the moral and physical well being of club members, helping them to develop positive attitudes and to have the respect of others. The club will work with partnerships in Drumchapel to create a football for all ethos by the way of going into schools and other organisations to support, facilitate and promote football for all and the benefits.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Young people with special needs special tend not to join mainstream activities in our local area we we are hopeful by giving them the confidence to play football then they would be confident in joining mainstream clubs in our local area. At the moment once a year the club facilitates a football programme for local primary schools and out of the 75 kids that attend we get two from the school.
