About this cause
Our objective is to work alongside the school, particularly the head teacher, Mrs Gleave, funding projects that are not always on the curriculum, but still benefit the children. We have fund raised over the years to pay for a variety of projects, such as out door play time equipment, theatrical experiences, kits for the sports teams, parties at Christmas and stage lights for the hall to name just a few. We also recognize the need to offer our time to help the school in areas where by volunteering we are able to really make a difference.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Apart from the many pupils who will use the garden both during and around the academic day, the school is also used by various uniformed organisations, church clubs, elderly befriended groups and they would all benefit from being able to use an outside area which has been developed to allow people of all ages to enjoy.
