About this cause

Hope Housing Training & Support is a registered charity providing supported accommodation for homeless, vulnerable adults in the Bournemouth & Poole area. Hope provides tailored support, which ranges from counselling, training, help to find employment and to re-connect with family members. Our clients usually have multiple and complex needs. Hope aims to support individuals to move forward into independent living and secure employment. Homelessness is increasing nationally and Bournemouth currently ranks 4th in the South West for the highest number of rough sleepers, placing it ahead of some major cities. Homelessness in this area is increasing at three times the national average, so the charity is facing growing demand.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Homelessness significantly increases the risk of mental and physical health problems, research also shows that life expectancy is reduced by 30 years on average. The charity is facing growing demand in the local area. The project is designed to improve the health and well-being of homeless adults, supporting them to make positive lifestyle changes and move on to independent living and employment.
