We want to create a reflective garden and seating area adjacent to the War Memorial in the Lower Birks of Aberfeldy for locals and visitors.
About this cause
Aberfeldy Move2Improve is a small group of volunteers. Our objectives are to maintain and improve the environment of Aberfeldy, create pride in our neighbourhood and draw us together as a community. We have the help of supporters, local school children and businesses. We annually plant out summer and winter plants and supply, hang and water 126 hanging baskets around the town. We have commissioned a number of metal sculptures which are placed around the town. Aberfeldy Move2Improve currently have plans to develop the Lower Birks area. This involves the creation of new paths, stone seating, picnic tables, planted areas and erection of a wooden sculpture. This project is fully funded and plan to start onsite soon. We want to do is a 2nd phase to the above and create a Reflective Garden.

The Reflective Garden will provide a relaxing environment for anyone visiting the town War Memorial and Lower Birks. It will enhance the environment and provide a new amenity for the community and visitors. This quiet reflective space will help improve quality of life and create pride in our neighbourhood. It will help boost the town's prosperity by encouraging visitors to linger in the town.
