We want to provide climbing equipment for the playground so the children can enjoy active and imaginative break times.
About this cause
We are a group of parents and friends of the school. Our main aim is to raise much needed funds for the primary school and nursery to purchase equipment and resources for the children as decided by the school and contribute towards activities and trips. We organise and run events such as fairs, film nights and discos. We also function as a way for parents, families and friends to work together to help build good relationships between home and school life. As teachers are often so busy we perform a key role in researching funding; making local business links; helping with extra curricular activities and communicating information to families. We promote ourselves via our Facebook page, the school website and newsletter and we are working to raise the school's profile in the community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Most of the children attending the school live locally and this will be an exciting project for families, the community and local businesses to get involved in together. The school has identified that health and well-being is an essential factor in the children's education and active play will encourage active lifestyles. It will benefit future generations of children attending the school.
