We want to replace playing kit for our Under 6-Under 9s and buy some floodlighting to allow midweek training for our junior players.
About this cause
We run a junior rugby section that comprises of volunteer coaching staff meeting the needs of 250 local children between the ages of 6-16. We provide playing kit for ages 6-9 year olds and have a mixture of coaching sessions and matches providing all children involved with a healthy lifestyle, respectful ethos and sporting interest from the start of September to the end of April and all at a very low cost to participants. Whilst we have limited space, we aim to offer addition coaching sessions during the early evening but require some additional floodlights to allow more playable space mid week.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We provide a sporting opportunity at a very low cost with 8 months play on Sunday's and midweek training from under 9's. The cost per week equates to approximately £1 per child per session which is fantastic value and very inclusive but also fosters respect, teamwork, a healthy lifestyle and camaraderie for children and parents alike. This project will help our growing delivery of this.
