About this cause
SoLO Life Opportunities (SoLO) is a charitable organisation which seeks to add value to the lives of children and adults with learning disabilities, their parents and carers, living in Solihull and the surrounding areas, through the provision of high quality leisure and social opportunities, as well as enhanced services such as employment, supported volunteering, training and meaningful day time activities. SoLO’s mission is to release the potential of children and adults with a learning disability through fun-filled stimulating activities which build life skills, confidence and independence.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our programme supports the families of the children and adults with a learning disability that we work with. By providing the learning disabled member with a meaningful opportunity, the families and extended families are able to get some well earned rest without worrying about their loved ones. We also have 225 volunteers from the local community who will benefit from being able to use the equip.
