About this cause

Our organisation is a Parent, Teacher and Friends Association. We raise money to support the school teachers, governors and head teacher and to provide resources, opportunities and experiences for the children. We do this through providing money to enrich the children's learning, through workshops, trips, activities, equipment, or to fund and improve facilities within the school and school grounds. The school supports 160 families/ 211 children in a rural setting and everything we do is to provide and support a better education for the children. We run many events throughout the year, including a quiz night, village fete, bazaar, May Ball and work very hard to enhance each and every child's school experience. Last year we managed to raise enough money to half fund a new school minibus.

How this cause brings people in the community together

The school and church is the hub of the village and this project would allow the children a hands on approach and a solid education about the environment in which we live, whilst getting the children out in the fresh air daily and all the proven benefits that this brings. The school has a strong belief in outdoor learning and children take part in 'Forest School' every week.
