About this cause
All women, men and children have the right to live safely, free from fear and harm. We provide high quality, accessible services, tailored to meet the needs of individuals, whose lives are affected by domestic violence and abuse. We support people in Leeds, whose lives are affected by domestic violence and abuse by offering community based outreach services, which provide practical and emotional support, advocacy and information. We aim to empower individuals to make informed choices about their lives that will have a positive immediate and future impact; to influence other agencies; and promote good practice through developing new partnerships/sharing resources. In all our work we strive to be Committed; Professional; Dependable; Realistic; Inclusive; Client focused and Caring.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Healthy, functioning family units will have improved dynamics, positive goals and future aspirations and the confidence and skills to achieve these. Family members will have stronger contacts and connections with their wider community, take up new opportunities (education, recreation, learning and development, work, volunteering) reconnecting beyond their family and expanding their networks.
