About this cause
The Friends of Broadwater School charity aim to advance the education of Broadwater School pupils by: Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school; Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Access to the tables will be available year-round out of school hours, at the weekends and during school holidays for local community use. Sited in a wheelchair-accessible area, they need no modification for use by older members of the community nor those with disabilities. They'll have concrete nets, so all community members will need to provide are bats and balls, which they can buy at low cost.
