We need to cover the costs of purchasing camping equipment and materials and providing transport to activities.
About this cause
We aim to support young people in Dulverton and the surrounding area in their physical, mental and spiritual development, that they may play constructive roles in society with a strong focus on the outdoors and survival skills. As we are a new Beavers/Cubs/Scout group and are trying to increase the participation of the young members of the local community, any funding we receive would be used to assist with this development, such as purchasing equipment, enabling participation in events in the scouting world and the local area and offering assistance with the costs involved for those who require additional support. We aim to work closely with local organisations to encourage healthy participation in the local community and foster a strong sense of community spirit in the future generation.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The cubs, beavers and Scouts benefit the local community by actively engaging with local young people to become healthy, well adjusted members of society. We work hard with the young people to foster a sense of community spirit and respect for their environment and those they share it with.
