About this cause

Central cheshire buddy scheme supports children, young people and adults with disabilities through activity clubs, days out and residential weekends away. CCBS runs 6 activity clubs each month supporting over 150 children with a range of abilities and disabilities along with a project called Changing lives for adults with disabilities. The changing Lives project supports adults with disabilities to improve their mental and physical health. The group go on trips and outings while also being at the Georges centre, cooking, learning about healthy eating and they have an allotment where they are growing fruit and vegetables. The funding would be used to do more activities with the group.

How this cause brings people in the community together

The project will help disabled adults to: Reduce social isolation by meeting and being with friends. Develop social skills by mixing and being with others Help develop life skills through cooking, growing vegetables etc Increase life experiences by being out and about visiting new places.
