About this cause

We recently moved premises to BD15 0LQ from BD2 3NU. We have a thriving riding for the disabled group, which provides opportunities to children and adults with physical and also learning difficulties. We run both riding and horse care sessions. We also provide volunteering opportunities for people to help with the running of the group and these sessions. Through our sessions riders gain in confidence, knowledge, self esteem and improve their physical and mental well being. Coming to us is the highlight of many peoples week. Funding would help us continue to run the much popular holiday sessions which are a couple of hours of horse care and riding, which the group members love and it also gives their parents and carers a much needed break.

How this cause brings people in the community together

It provides social inclusion for all members of the community from the disabled riders, their parents and carers, to local volunteers. Through these sessions they gain knowledge, confidence and make new friendships. These sessions also give parents and carers a well earned break. By volunteering it also improves employability, and university applications.
