New flooring and doors would help upgrade our church hall which is available to the whole community.
About this cause
The hall is a valued meeting place within the Parish supporting many community events and supports the integration of civilian and military communities. Its central location within the village makes it accessible to all local residents and surrounding areas. The hall is well used by local community groups including Youth Club, Dance groups, coffee mornings, baby clinic, toddler group and Slimming World. The hall is also available, at a realistic rental, for local residents for private parties, etc. The main purpose of the Church Hall is to promote and provide facilities to be used by the public at large with no exclusions by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The hall is used by many local groups, at a realistic rental, on a weekly basis, and is also let for private functions such as parties, table top sales, etc. Accounts show the running costs are covered by the rental received from organisations that hire the hall but there is no money left to upgrade the facilities and wherever possible Internal decorating and repairs are all done by volunteers.
