46th Angus Scout Group
Young People
We want to refurbish our toilets to make them more child and disabled friendly and to ensure they remain functional.
About this cause
46th Angus Scout Group is based in Muirhead near Dundee. We have a very healthy mixed Group of nearly 100 members coming from Muirhead and Birkhill, Auchterhouse, Newtyle, Liff and Longforgan. We cater for young people between the ages of 6 and 25 through a balanced programme of activities. We are part of the Scottish East Region and take an active part in activities with other groups within the region. Each of our sections – Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers – take part in a full programme from crafts to climbing and everything in between! We are a registered scottish charity (SC039648), all of our leaders and committee are unpaid volunteers committed to providing Scouting for young people in our area. By providing a structured programme we allow young people to achieve their best.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The hall is a well used community asset and with the benefit of refurbishing the toilets we would be able to provide a safer environment for the community as a whole. The hall is used every day of the week for various community activities not just the scout group. We cater from all ages from the children at the local nursery up to an over 60s fitness group.
