We would like to take Southway Playcare children, some with disabilities, on a residential to the Isle of Wight.
About this cause
Southway playcare is an After school and a Holiday club. We provide inclusive play to all children as we believe every child is unique and has the right to play so we try to provide that in our setting. We offer a safe, secure environment for children to come and play, we also offer stimulating and challenging activities especially when we go on our residential's. Our children's age range is 4yrs -11yrs, we normally go up to the age of 16yrs depending if they have outgrown our setting. Southway Playcare believes that every child no matter what race, gender, disability has the right to be a child and have the same opportunities as every other child, and we try to provide that. Southway Playcare works closely with other agencies at Windsor House in Plymouth.
How this cause brings people in the community together
This project will help the community to show them what we really do, many just think we are an afterschool club and holiday club, don't realise how many times we have put in funding bids so we can offer our children,families opportunities at lower cost so children from disadvantaged families have the same opportunities as others. We our a small organisation with big hearts.
