We need equipment to help to maintain the community garden and new flooring for our hut.
About this cause
Ushaw Moor Action Group is a community association which manages a Community Garden and a small community hall (The Hut) for the benefit of the local community. It aims to provide the means for the community to meet and carry out a range of activities for all age groups and at affordable rates (often free). The Community Garden: is available for local schools to grow produce; provides space for groups to meet together; is the base for a Men's Cree; provides produce free of charge to the local community. The Hut provides a welcoming and safe environment for: playgroups, youth groups, baby clinic and fitness classes.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Community Garden will be easier to maintain by the volunteers who tend it. The Hut will have a more attractive and serviceable floor covering which should extend the uses that The Hut can be put to.
