About this cause
South Brent Recreation Association has existed since 1985 to promote community participation in healthy sport and recreation opportunities by providing facilities and activities to enable a variety of sports and recreational pursuits to take place with interest for the whole community. The facilities are owned by South Brent Parish Council.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The main obstacle to increasing activities for older people is access as the uneven surface makes it difficult for the less able to safely come to the facilities. The police highlighted the need to improve the surface as loose stones encourage anti-social behaviour. The project links to the Parish Plan which identifies a need to maintain and improve community facilities for future generations
