We would like to offer our members art therapy to help them express their feelings after receiving a dementia diagnosis.
About this cause
Our aim is to improve the lives of people under 65 living with dementia through our day centre in Rochford. A diagnosis of dementia at a young age can be devastating as individuals are often still working, have financial commitments and young families. Our members can take part in socially, physically and mentally stimulating activities in a safe and friendly environment. We also offer days out to local places of interest. We offer door to door transport on one of our three minibuses which are a vital part of our service. We also offer a free advocacy service and carers support groups for those diagnosed and their families.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We would like to put on an exhibition of the art our members have completed at the day centre to show the community how people can benefit from art therapy and how it may help them.
