About this cause

Dunblane First Responders is a community charity that responds to 999 calls on behalf of the Scottish Ambulance Service within the Dunblane. We are community volunteers who perform regular on-duty shifts ensuring that we are available to respond to any member of the community/public in a medical emergency. We carry out life-saving treatment with our specialist skills and equipment to ensure the chain of survival. Our other objectives are to install and maintain the public defibrillators within the community and train members of the public on its use. We also provide practical training to anyone in Dunblane who wishes to learn Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and other life-saving skills. We regularly fundraise to cover the cost of our equipment, uniform and vehicle.

How this cause brings people in the community together

It will ensure that we remain an integral part of the community and facilitate our life-saving work. We will be local and ready to respond to 999 calls on behalf of the Scottish Ambulance Service, whilst training and educating the community within an appropriate environment.
