We would love to expand our play equipment to include a container and crash mats. We would also like to make an accessible swing.
About this cause
Gwealan Tops is a charity which aims to deliver free, safe, accessible & challenging adventurous play opportunities for all local children. The dream to open the first & only adventure playground in Cornwall has started to become a reality this year, enabling us to open to local school-aged children & families all year round. An adventure playground can best be described as a space dedicated to children’s play, where skilled playworkers enable & facilitate the ownership, development & design of that space – physically, socially & culturally – by the children playing there.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will attract a boarded age range, giving young people in Redruth somewhere to hang out and make makes during school holidays and after school term time. We would like disabled children to feel fully included with their local peer group.
