About this cause
We are a contact center open to children that families have broken down and we aim to give them support to have both parents in their lives. We offer 1 to 1 family counselling. Workshops for the parents. Supported and supervise contact arrangements and handovers. We have two large contact rooms which are equipped for 0-7 years and 7 years and older children. Play therapy and/or play sessions in the sensory room. We have a room for DNA testing (only venue on the Island offering this). We offer music/rhyme time and play and stay sessions. We are the only registered Child Contact Center on the Isle of Wight to have accreditation with NACCC. We offer early intervention support and Re-unification work with families. We have an excellent reputation with other professional services.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our center is no longer just for families who are separating. We have added play sessions in order to try and bring the community together and so that single parents can meet others in similar situations. Unfortunately we are extremely busy with families since moving into our new building and so there is an obvious need for the support here in Ryde. We hope we can offer a safe place for families.
