As a brand new group, we want to buy the necessary equipment to make sure that the children from 8-13 can maximise their time with us.
About this cause
We are a newly formed Scout Group in the Chell Heath Area of Stoke-on-Trent, currently catering for a Beaver Colony and Cub Pack with the desire to form a Scout group starting in September. The area is a deprived area within Stoke-on-Trent with little facilities in the local area for the youngsters. This group is lead by a superb team of volunteers who all live in the local area and to add are all new to the Scouting movement. We provide the children of the group the opportunity to develop new life skills in a safe and controlled environment but with the major emphasis of fun whilst trying to limit the financial burden of the parents. With our dedicated team of volunteers we are making great strides with the children and teaching them the importance of the word community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
This project will really help the local community, at the moment activities and facilities for younger children in the area are very poor with very little for them to-do. This Scout Group will provide access to exciting activities whilst providing a secure and reliable service for local families with an emphasis of helping out in the local area. All volunteers in the group are local.
