We want to develop a safe, secure,well resourced, all weather outdoor play space for pre-school age children.
About this cause
We are an Infant School with a Local Authority Nursery attached. Our Nursery provides places for between 60 - 80 local children at different times. There are many deprived and vulnerable families in the area who we try to support. In September we will also be offering the new 30 hour provision to families who meet the criteria. Many of the families we serve are financially challenged and have low self esteem and low aspiration. They have difficulty engaging with the system. Our aim is to reach out to these families, provide them and their children with the support they need to ensure that their children receive quality nursery provision in order to help them become school ready by the age of 4.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We will be able to use the space: - To develop school readiness in under fives - To promote healthy lifestyles for pre-school children and their families - To encourage outdoor learning - To provide local pre-school children with a safe and secure environment to play in - To run open days for local nurseries to use the space and develop links with the school
