About this cause

Easington Village Hall is a sandstone building, more than a century old, and the Village Hall Committee is working hard to fundraise to upgrade facilities and to carry out essential repairs. As the hall is the only community building in the village the aim is to ensure that it is brought up to an acceptable standard so that it can continue to provide a focus for community activities. Currently the hall is used for Rainbows, Line Dancing, Church events and Film Club as well as regular village social nights. It is also available for hire for receptions, funeral teas, childrens' parties and other events. Recent fundraising includes a successful Scarecrow Festival and catering for spectators during the East Cleveland Klondyke cycling event.

How this cause brings people in the community together

This hall is the only community building in the village and we want to make it a welcoming place for people to meet and socialise. Many older people in the village and surrounding area enjoy events in the hall.
