We want to reinvent the front garden to make it an all weather playing, performing and learning garden.
About this cause
St Pirans Playschool is in Delabole, North Cornwall. It is registered for 30 places for children aged 2-5 years and we run a Stay & Play club for 0-5's. We offer competitive fees and are always fundraising to try and offer quality, afforable childcare and education to our local commuity. We now want to extend our opening hours to offer a breakfast club and afterschool club to support working parents. Our Playschool is a registered charity and managed by a volunteer committee made up of parents, guardians, grandparents and other dedicated parties. St Pirans Playschool offers a wonderfully stimulating, friendly, early learning environment, both indoors and out. We welcome parents, guardians, carers and children from all walks of life, we embrace playing, learning and growing together.
How this cause brings people in the community together
With growing levels of obesity in children and increasingly sedentary lifestyles we think outdoor play, physical activity and creative play are very important for children. Having an all weather playing and learning garden will encourage a love of the outdoors. Education about health, nutrition and keeping active will give children a positive attitude towards taking care of themselves and others.
