We want to renovate an outside area into a nature garden for all school children to enjoy. We need plants and gardening equipment.
About this cause
WISS raises funds throughout the year to pay for experiences for all children at Willesborough Infant School to enjoy which benefit their formal education. This includes visits from authors, the pantomime and Zoolab. We also subsidise school trips so that all children can attend these valuable experiences. We raise money by organising fun activities for children to enjoy with their families including a big summer fair, chocolate bingo, a Bonfire craft and campfire singalong evening, discos and film nights as well cake sales and a Christmas shop, which all children visit to buy a present for a special grown-up. Some of our events are run free-of-charge for the enjoyment of all school families so that they feel part of our school community regardless of their background.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The space will be used primarily by children in school, but will be open to families and friends of the school children to use and enjoy at special open events. We could also invite local people to come and help maintain the space with the children.
