British Polio Fellowship, Sheffield Group
Health
Want to hire a mini bus with tail lift to take a few disabled members out for the day.
About this cause
The British Polio Fellowship, Sheffield Group, is part of the larger organisation, which It is a non profit making organisation and gets no help other than what is worked for by members. Groups and Branches have to raise funds to help their own members where possible. If successful the cash would go to hire a coach with a tail lift to help get some Sheffield Group members, many who had polio before the vacine came out in 1955 and are now all getting older and many use wheelchairs. This would enable myself as Group Leader to transport a few of them to a Yorkshire Region event whereby they get out of their homes for a few hours and they would be able to meet up with other fellow members.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will show that even older people in wheelchairs can enjoy being taken out for the day without hassle.
