We need to cover the costs of providing bereavement support for children, adults and young people.
About this cause
Bereavement Support Group is a local charity that helps anyone who has been bereaved. The group offers children, adults & young people flexible support in a friendly environment offering the chance to meet with others in similar situations. The group is unique in that it offers support to anyone bereaved by any circumstances. Although the charity sits as part of the NHS, we do not receive any funding from them. The group is run by volunteers & relies solely on fundraising & donations. Last year the group was forced to stop running due to lack of funding, leaving many local people with no support. We have now secured the funds through donations to run until Dec 17. We desperately need help to contiue this group, to secure the venue & to promote the group so those that need us can find us.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The groups offer people the right support at the right time to help them to work through their grief. We provide people with local support that shows them that they are not alone. Coming together with people in similar situations allows people to express and share their emotions to try and can help them to work through their grief and loss.
