We want to install a canopy in the playground so children can be protected from the elements and have more outside playtime.
About this cause
All parents, carers and staff are automatically members of the Plaxtol School Association (PSA). Our objective is to raise funds through activities such as school fetes, Halloween discos and a firework night so we can purchase items and services to advance the education and well being of pupils. Plaxtol School is a village school with just 93 pupils and a vital part of village life. At a time of Government budget cuts, the money raised by the PSA is a key part of enabling each child to have a good all round education so they can fulfill their potential.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The canopy would be of immediate benefit to the pupils and their families. The school is a vital part of the village as is our shop and post office. The local shop gets enormous support and trade from the parents and children at the school so it is vital (for the whole village) that the school thrives, continues to offer more facilities and be an attractive choice for future families.
