About this cause

Lifeworks Staffordshire support individuals from the age of 14 plus who are on the autistic spectrum. We offer support in a variety of ways including several social activities. This helps to improve confidence and reduce the isolation many on the spectrum experience. We were established in 2006 and received the Queen's Award for Voluntary Services in 2012. Our work is recognised by professionals, however we receive no government funding and endeavour to fundraise to continue the specialist work we do. We support over 540 clients and their families who describe this charity as a LIFELINE. We are passionate about the work we carry out. We provide the voice for those individuals who often cannot speak for themselves.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Research proves that families living with someone with an autistic spectrum condition areplaced under more pressure than families living with any other disability. By helping a client we are also helping the wider family. We are improving the health and well-being of all concerned.
