We wish to improve the quality and accessibility of the publicity for Biggar Little Festival in order to broaden the Festival's appeal.
About this cause
The Group's objective is to promote the advancement of the arts, education and community development within Biggar and its surrounding communities by, among other things, promoting exhibitions and performances, developing opportunities for local, national and international artists to demonstrate their talents in and around Biggar and by encouraging artistic understanding and participation. The group organises Biggar Little Festival, a 10 day arts festival in Biggar each October with wide ranging participation from artists, musicians, theatre groups, school children and others in and around the town.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We know that about 25% of the current audience comes into the town from outside the immediate area. We wish to increase both the numbers and proportion of audience from further afield, thereby providing opportunities for greater spending within the town across a wide range of businesses, including the Co-op, as well as increased audience numbers for event promoters within the Festival.
