Our scout hut is in desperate need of refurbishment and upgrading. Currently there is no heating and people have to wear coats in winter.
About this cause
1st Hawarden Scout Troop, incorporates Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. Out objectives are to introduce members to new experiences and give them life skills, including fundraising events, camps, cycle events, working in the local community, ie: assisting at The Good Life Festival, gardening at the local hospital.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The scout hut is used every night of the week, for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers. If the hut is refurbished to a high standard, we would hold more fund raising events there, ie quiz nights, bingo, race nights. Currently, there is no heating, people have to wear coats for any events in Winter. We would also encourage beavers to camp in the hut overnight.
