We've managed to replace the pool boiler but the changing rooms and surrounding area must be replaced soon.
About this cause
The charity raises funds for Great Bardfield Primary School and it's children. We are a small village school so the local community is very important. We work with the head and staff of the school to ensure every penny raised is used to heighten the primary learning experience for the children eg. Additional equipment, books, update and maintaining IT hardware. We also fund activities for the children to help support the curriculum, to encourage leaning and experience through alternative teaching. We have funded the creation of a wildlife garden inc. a pond, a reflection area as well as plants. Every year we fund a trip to the local pantomime. The funds are raised through activities organised by the committee such as our annual fete, quizzes, race nights and many more.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our small village school has generations of families who have been to our school & used the pool. Finchingfield school also uses our pool. We must replace the facilities as they are no longer weatherproof. The pool is opened to families during the warmer months after school & in the holidays & could be used for fund raising activities. It is just one of the things that makes our school special.
